Combination of ballet and jazz dance that often uses music with lyrics to inspire the movements of the dancer. Choreographers use the lyrics from the song to inspire the dance and the result is a style that focuses on strong emotion as well as more individual approach than some dance styles.
Includes strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks, and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance. It is a wonderful class to get a well-rounded variety of all dance steps.
A classical dance form that can be mastered by itself or used as a technical base or supplement to other dance forms. Ballet focuses on building strength, poise, proper body alignment, turnout, extensions and proper usage of feet and legs in an expressive atmosphere.
A modern type of dance style of expressive dance that has been able to combine features of several genres such as modern, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and classic ballet.
Tumbling/Acro is a style of training that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is very athletic and seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics/tumbling techniques. Dancers will learn and practice proper and safe tumbling techniques and learn how to do proper somersaults, back rolls, and cartwheels.
Students will learn the fundamentals of Hip-Hop

No registration fees. All students are charged a 1-time $100 costume fee for the June recital each year.
